Youssef Home Studio: From Self-Taught to a Future in Audio
Youssef taught himself audio and started from his own home studio. As his skills grew and projects came in, he needed a proper acoustic environment that dealt with sound transmission. Silence equipped the space with soundproofing suited to the room and his means, and the room became part of his first steps before he moved abroad to continue his career.

It didn’t start in an institute or a big studio, but in a simple room
Not every success story starts with big resources or a path planned in advance.
Youssef chose to teach himself, build his skills step by step and turn his knowledge of sound into real work. He started from his own home studio, where the room was the launch pad for hands-on experience and the beginning of his path in audio.
Over time he started working and kept raising his level, until he took a new step and travelled abroad to continue his career.
The challenge: turning a home space into a working environment
For anyone starting out in audio recording at home, setting up the workspace is an important part of the journey.
As skills grow and projects start coming in, you need a suitable acoustic environment that supports the work and deals with sound travelling between the room and its surroundings.
Silence’s role: a space that supports ambition
At Silence, we believe every workspace has a goal behind it, and the right acoustic solution must start with understanding the owner’s needs and how the space is used.
Our aim is to help home studio owners equip their spaces with soundproofing that suits the room and the resources available, so they can focus on their work and their skills.
The room was the start; ambition did the rest
Youssef’s story reminds us that the start doesn’t have to be perfect, and that learning, hard work and persistence can open new doors.
From teaching himself, to starting work, to travelling to continue his journey, his home room was part of his first professional steps. At Silence, we know every project has a story behind it, and equipping a workspace can be part of a bigger beginning.
Dreaming of starting from home? Start with the space you have, and plan its fit-out around your needs and ambition.
Silence — Maintain the Quietness.
